About The Position

The Electronics Tech I supports the troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and testing of electronic equipment and systems. The role may also involve assembling and installing electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical controls and systems using engineering designs and drawings. Systems may include audio, video, robotics, process control, PLC, ladder logic, and data acquisition. The position requires proper handling of hazardous materials and may involve work subject to U.S. export control eligibility requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Basic knowledge of electronic circuit theory.
Good communication skills and ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics, understand electronic symbols, recognize electronic components, use job-related hand tools, and operate simple electronic test equipment.
Ability to perform all types of electronic soldering.

Responsibilities

Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating equipment and systems.
Operate equipment and perform functional and quality control tests to verify operation meets design requirements.
Handle hazardous materials properly.
May assemble and install electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical controls and systems based on engineering designs and drawings.
