About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Electronic Systems Technician for the 3rd Shift. This role involves reading and interpreting technical documents, diagnosing and repairing electronic systems, and performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in a related field.

Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or Completed 4-year Apprenticeship
4+ years’ experience Aerospace/Manufacturing
3+ years electronics/electrical trades experience, working on and servicing CNC machines
Licensed electrician E1/E2

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMs
Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose causes of the malfunction and repair.
Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams.
Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
Maintains electric and electronic test equipment.
Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Disassembles manual equipment and replaces it with new or repaired parts.
Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment.
Performs Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Performs General Maintenance duties as needed.
Performs system calibrations and recordings.
