About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Lead or Senior Electronics Project Engineer (Level 5 or 6) to join our team in El Segundo, California. This role provides Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers. The engineer will develop statements of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements, and develop new and follow-on concepts that will expand product or services lines. The position involves anticipating change and organizing processes and resources to proactively respond, identifying performance metrics, and ensuring that work and project breakdown structure (WBS/PBS), schedule, and resource loading are completed by the team. The role also includes developing and communicating responsibility authority accountability (RAA) to define team members' roles and responsibilities, developing, maintaining, and distributing team organization charts as needed, and leading project execution to complete the work statement. Planning, identifying, and coordinating resources required over the life of the project or program, incorporating lessons learned into strategic process improvements, and preparing and presenting outcomes, assessments, and corrective action initiatives to Boeing management are also key aspects of this role. The engineer will work independently.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Lead (Level 5): 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
14+ years of experience leading engineering teams
5+ years of experience leading large design, integration, and test teams
Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
