About The Position

CACI is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician IV to provide non-personal services support for the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS) and Joint Portal Shield (JPS) programs in the Electro-Optics Technology Division at NSWC Crane. The role supports JBPDS/JPS systems and their line replacement units, including the Biological Agent Warning System, Identifier Assembly, JBPDS Control Assembly, Power Pack, Fluid Transfer System, Collector Assembly, JBPDS LCS Display, and LCS Computer. The technician investigates system and component failures, performs corrective and repair actions, and conducts calibration and grooming on assigned system and subsystem equipment. The work includes recording failure trends and causative factors in depot documentation to help assess future effects on system operations and supportability. Work takes place at the contractor’s off-site facility, in coordination with NSWC Crane personnel, to reduce maintenance turnaround time and return assets to the Fleet. The role also requires recording serial numbers of lasers replaced during BAWS depot repair and returning failed lasers to NSWC Crane for refurbishment. The technician performs acceptance tests on lasers being returned under NSWC Crane laser refurbishment contracts.
