The Electronics Engineer Technician is responsible for the design, development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment, components, and systems. This role requires technical expertise in Test Program Sets (TPS) and built-in-test equipment (BIT/BITE), including analysis, development, evaluation, updates, prototyping, fielding, and specialized maintenance support throughout the system life cycle. The technician will perform remote and on-site troubleshooting and system repair, with limited supervision, on the Army's legacy Base Shop Test Facility, associated TPS, and various Automated Test Equipment, Line Replaceable Units, and Shop Replaceable Units. Additionally, the role involves providing operator training for customers on Army Automated Test Equipment and associated TPSs, and constructing components, subunits, or simple models per approved technical data and instructions, with the ability to troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
