The Electronics Engineer Technician is responsible for the design, development and testing of electrical and electronic equipment, components, and systems. This role requires expertise in Test Program Sets (TPS) and built-in-test equipment (BIT/BITE), involving analysis, development, evaluation, updates, prototyping, fielding, and specialized maintenance support throughout the system life cycle. The technician will provide remote and on-site troubleshooting and system repair, performing highly technical and specialized maintenance on legacy Army Base Shop Test Facility, associated TPS, various Automated Test Equipment, Line Replaceable Units, and Shop Replaceable Units with limited supervision. Additionally, the role includes providing operator training for customers on Army Automated Test Equipment and associated TPSs. Responsibilities also involve constructing components, subunits, or simple models, troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions, conducting tests and experiments, and extracting and presenting technical data.
