Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Electronics Engineer / Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL and will be based within our office spaces to support the program and business needs. Operating on our 9/80 schedule means you will get every other Friday off. This position has NO Hybrid or Remote work available. The Ground Systems Electronics Engineer / Principal Electronics Engineer drives technical execution for the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems by designing, coordinating, and overseeing the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and architecture. Interfacing across multiple Product Owners within a matrixed, geographically dispersed Integrated Product Team (IPT), this role represents customer interests to dictate backlog priorities, enforce cybersecurity protocols, and manage cloud and VMware environments/infrastructures.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering (for Electronics Engineer)
Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering (for Principal Electronics Engineer)
Must have experience with software development and/or systems administration
Must possess a DoD 8570 certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or greater
Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
Must be able to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start
Must have experience in Cloud based architecture and administration

Nice To Haves

US Government Secret or Top Secret/SCI level Security Clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years
Master’s of Science in Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer/Software or Electrical Engineering
Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
Architect, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Build, manage, and support cloud environments and VMware ESXi infrastructure.
Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure automation using Ansible playbooks.
Design, deploy, and maintain containerized applications and supporting infrastructure using Docker and container technologies.
Develop, maintain, and optimize automation and operational tooling using Bash, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, processes, and procedures.
Evaluate current and future communications requirements and propose, implement, and configure solutions that meet operational needs while optimizing cost.
Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to identify requirements, resolve problems, and develop effective technical solutions.
Brief program and organizational leadership on technical initiatives, capabilities, risks, and recommendations.
Independently analyze requirements, prioritize work, and execute tasks with minimal direction or supervision.
Participate in Agile planning, development, and delivery activities.
Utilize Atlassian tools to support project planning, collaboration, documentation, and workflow management.
Travel up to 10% of the time, as required.
