About The Position

The Electronics Engineer II will be responsible for the design of new products based on high-level requirements, including research and exploration of various technologies and documentation of technical specifications. This role involves schematic capture and PCB layout design, prototype development, board bring-up, comprehensive testing, and debugging of new products. The engineer will also design test equipment for manufacturing, perform functional verification, and develop microcontroller firmware. Additionally, the position requires signal characterization, quick ramp-up on current/legacy products, troubleshooting and support of customer issues, and the creation of product support documentation such as manuals and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics Engineering or closely related field.
  • 3 years of work experience in the job offered or closely related occupation.
  • Experience working on designing and developing electronics products.
  • Understanding and exposure to PCB schematics and layouts, signal characterization, and microcontroller firmware design and development.
  • Experience using tools like Altium Designer and PADS for hardware development.
  • Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles and best practices in electronic circuit design.
  • Demonstrated strong soldering, circuit debugging, and hardware validation skills using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab instruments.
  • Development experience with firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers using embedded C, implementing low-level drivers and hardware interfaces.
  • Strong programming skills in C and Python for automation, embedded development, and system integration tasks.
  • Experience in SolidWorks for enclosure design and electromechanical integration as part of cross-functional product development.
