About The Position

JPL is seeking an Electronics Engineer I to join the Advanced Electronics Systems and Technologies group and help advance space electronics. The role works across instrument, avionics, and power electronics disciplines to develop technologies and systems for robotic space exploration. The engineer works on a multidisciplinary team of systems engineers, electronics designers, embedded developers, and ASIC designers to develop electronics for future missions. The position involves technical development of electronics from specification and architecture through simulation, PCB design, laboratory testing, and mission integration. The engineer designs analog, digital, and power electronics circuits for space and terrestrial robotics; evaluates candidate technologies and parts for radiation effects; and collaborates across JPL to integrate designs into robotic missions and instrument systems. The role also includes proposing projects to address challenging problems in space and on Earth. The position is based at JPL in Pasadena, California. JPL describes its 177-acre campus in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains as a collaborative, innovation-focused work environment. The typical full-time-equivalent annual hiring range is $97,656–$114,192. The posting lists benefits for benefits-eligible positions, with coverage effective on the first day of the month coincident with or immediately following the employee’s start date.

Requirements
