The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center, Intelligence Electromagnetic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S) Directorate, operates the Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) at Aberdeen Proving Ground. ARAT builds, tests, and distributes mission software for fielded electromagnetic warfare systems. The ARAT Innovation Initiatives effort modernizes that infrastructure through various advanced testing and automation techniques. Work is executed in Agile sprints with DevSecOps practices in a Government-approved GitLab environment. The Level III Electronic Warfare Specialist leads electromagnetic attack technique development and lethality assessment, modifying the UTAS foundation to enable EA technique evaluation at scale and automated search for optimized threat techniques. The role incorporates EA technique development and lethality assessment into the Signal Modeling Framework and its ecosystem. It is the contractor's senior EW technical authority and advises the Government on capability direction at the Top Secret level.
