About The Position

Assemblix LLC is seeking Electronic Test Technicians/Operators for a client in Durham, NC. This full-time contract position involves the manufacturing and repair of server and PC products. The role requires working WEEKENDS ONLY, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Although the schedule is 36 hours, employees will be paid for 40 hours. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and STD, along with PTO and paid holidays. The pay rate ranges from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18.
  • AAS or equivalent or 5 plus years of work experience in debug.
  • Ability to read and understand schematic/circuit diagrams.
  • Ability to understand component symbols.
  • Experience in motherboard repair based on schematics.
  • Digital systems experience.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills.
  • Basic English communication required, and able to understand instructions in English.
  • Highly motivated to work on own initiative, and as a part of a team with excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • A.A./Certificate/B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electronic testing, debugging, or tester setup.
  • English proficiency required.
  • Reading comprehension for schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Knowledge of volt ohmmeters, digital meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, microcomputers, calipers, and assorted electronic and microcomputer-controlled test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Run diagnostic procedures and basic troubleshooting of system to module level.
  • Interpret appropriate error messages and take proper corrective action.
  • Handle all products in and out (before & after testing).
  • Packing/unpacking.
  • Visual inspection if required.
  • Tester operations.
  • Control and maintain other SK Hynix tools.
  • Perform the most problematic tasks associated with the test and debug trouble analysis, and/or repair of the test fixture for all test stations.
  • Assist the Test Engineer in setting up the test area and methods.
  • Work from and interpret basic schematics, logic drawings, test procedures, prints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
  • Write and/or assist Test Engineers in writing new test procedures.
  • Recommend new methods or changes in test methods or equipment of efficient and economic tester of system, sub-assemblies, or modules.
  • Prepare verbal or written reports of tests and work performed.
  • Train manufacturing operators or technicians how to operate the testers on the manufacturing floor.
  • Maintain all the tester equipment on the manufacturing floor.
