About The Position

As an Electronics Technician at Wise Foods, you will conduct, maintain, test, and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This position applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and skills in restoring equipment to operation. You'll be responsible for the electrical maintenance and programming of the machinery in the plant. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment. You will plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment. Additionally, you will install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements. You will advise operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components, and inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. You will maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment, perform preventive maintenance functions as directed, and assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting. You will also assist and train other maintenance and other technical-level employees.

Requirements

  • 3 years PLC experience.
  • ET Certification
  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • High School or GED.
  • Microsoft office experience.

Nice To Haves

  • GFSI or equivalent
  • Associate degree in related field.
  • Flexible Packing Machine maintenance experience.
