The Electronic Technician will be responsible for the effective operation of current plant process control, electronic, instrument, electrical, and mechanical equipment by performing preventative maintenance, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying equipment to keep the plant running efficiently. This is a 12-hour shift position working 3 or 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of technical training or related work in this field.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure process control equipment is calibrated, running efficiently and to specifications.
  • Formats and establishes preventative maintenance procedures for process equipment and systems and insures proper compliance.
  • Modifies, configures, services, and maintains computer, microprocessor, and process controller systems throughout the plant.
  • Operate and performs basic programming for microprocessors, process controllers, and various computers as required.
  • Propose, appraise, and purchase new equipment for projects to enhance plant operation.
  • Conducts surveys and evaluates results to determine efficiency and/or suitability of process control devices or systems.
  • Develops and conducts training sessions on process control systems and equipment for all levels of involved plant personnel.
