About The Position

The Electronic Technician Maintenance II position supports the Army Warfighter Training & Readiness Solutions (WTRS) contract. This role involves performing all functions required to maintain and repair electronic WTRS and equipment for various flight simulators, including the UH-60M Black Hawk Aircrew Trainer (BAT), CH-47F Transportable Flight Proficiency Simulator (TFPS), AH-64D Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT), and Universal Mission Simulator (UMS). The technician will utilize spare/repair parts to address faults and perform preventative maintenance according to technical guidelines, research and select necessary repair parts, and accurately enter work order data into an online management information system. This position requires applying technical knowledge to solve electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manuals and schematic drawings, performing inventory of spare/repair parts, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and reports. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support and training to system operators and may require travel to other installations and WTRS locations.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Information Technology and 1 years of experience, Or 6+ Years of Experience in lieu of Degree
  • Intermediate computer and networking skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Enter work order data accurately and timely into the online management information system.
  • Apply technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals and schematic drawings.
  • Perform inventory of spare/repair parts in accordance with contractual guidelines.
  • Ensure all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide technical support and training to system operators.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS Locations
