About The Position

Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. Applies electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Requirements

Three (3) years aviation experience in electronics maintenance/repair
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Graduate from a two (2) year Electronics Technician resident course at an accredited institute
