About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Electronic Technician 3 for an onsite contract position in San Diego / Rancho Bernardo, CA. This role involves supporting development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment. The technician will assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment, as well as diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components. A key aspect of this role is maintaining compliance with NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.

Requirements

• 4 years of related experience or electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school.
• Experience fabricating wire harnesses or circuit card assemblies.

Nice To Haves

• Current or previously held certifications for wire harness fabrication (IPC-WHMA-A-620) or soldering and circuit card assembly/rework (IPC J-STD-001 / IPC-7711/7721).

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electronic systems, components, and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic components.
• Maintain compliance with all NGC CAT 2 Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) safety, quality, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) standards.
