About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking systems engineers to develop, build, and work on advanced electromagnetic spectrum operations systems. The role involves detecting, identifying, locating, and countering threats for joint forces and international aircrew. Successful candidates will join cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams developing and supporting next-generation Electronic Support Measures (ESM) systems. Responsibilities include developing new ESM capabilities, managing systems-level requirements, creating operational concepts, evaluating system designs and architectures, performing trade studies, developing and evaluating ESM techniques and algorithms, conducting threat analysis, building performance models, and defining systems-level integration and test for complex systems to ensure conformance with specifications and customer requirements. This position is full-time and will be performed 100% onsite at a BAE Systems facility. The Electronic Combat Solutions team focuses on delivering leading Electronic Warfare capabilities through education and mentorship, welcoming individuals with innovative ideas who are passionate about bringing warfighters home safely. The company offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, providing a flexible work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Minimum 8+ years of work experience with a BS degree
  • Minimum 6+ years of work experience with an MS degree
  • Minimum 4+ years of work experience with a PHD degree
  • Possess an Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)
  • Expertise in documenting and communicating - leading and working within a team on design, development, analysis, test, results, reports, and presentations.
  • Experience with Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Radar Warning Receivers (RWR), or SIGINT systems architectures.
  • Experience with Surface and Airborne Radar and Missile System employment, capabilities, and processing.
  • Demonstrated Leadership exhibiting Leadership Behaviors of: Strategic Vision, Creativity, Adaptability, Collaboration, Developing People, Integrity, Courage, and/or Inspiration.
  • Expertise in performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test).
  • Expertise in developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams.
  • Expertise in planning, conducting or contributing to trade studies.
  • Expertise in FW and SW Algorithm development and analysis for detection, location, and identification of threats.
  • Expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
  • Expertise in Analog/digital receiver design, analysis, and integration.
  • Expertise in RF System Design, Development, and Integration

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering
  • Experience with system resource management.
  • Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management.
  • Experience with advanced antenna technologies and ability to model antenna impacts on received and transmitted signals.
  • Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw.
