About The Position

Perfection Servo, a SunSource company, specializes in providing worldwide service, repair and remanufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries. This internship focuses on training an Electronic Technician responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and testing various electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards.

Requirements

Ability to solder/desolder electronic through-hole components.
Ability to solder/desolder electronic surface-mount components.
Ability to repair electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards.
Ability to troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level.
Ability to repair and/or replace electronic components to board level.
Familiarity with Huntron Tracker, Oscilloscope, and Multimeter.
Understanding of power supply repair.
Experience with component-level repair.
Knowledge of DC drive repair.
Knowledge of low horsepower AC drive repair.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and test various electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards.
Solder/Desolder electronic through-hole components.
Solder/Desolder electronic surface-mount components.
Repair electronic drives, controllers, and PC boards.
Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level using various methods and testing equipment.
Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components.
Verify repairs using start-up testing procedures.
May also include various other department projects.
