About The Position

Boeing is seeking Electronic Maintenance Infrastructure Technicians to join their Facilities team supporting South Puget Sound sites. This role involves installation, service, maintenance, upgrades, and modification of process equipment, alarm systems, fire panels, cranes, RF systems, tank lines, and waste treatment plants. The position is 100% onsite and requires the selected candidate to work at one of the listed locations in Renton, Puyallup, Auburn, Seattle, Kent, Tukwila, or Fredrickson, WA. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience conducting inspection & testing of fire protection equipment (Building Sprinkler Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Systems, Code/Policy violations, etc.)
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed
  • Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level with appropriate safety gear
  • Must be able to pass Fall Protection Training
  • Must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Experience troubleshooting AC and DC drives, VFDs, servo systems, and/or fire panels
  • Troubleshoot communication protocols to enable transmission and receipt of information between various systems to analyze networks
  • Utilize open computing architecture to troubleshoot within multiple integrated systems in order to determine appropriate repair

Responsibilities

  • Use technical knowledge, existing procedures (or develop new procedures), and internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment or system malfunctions
  • Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements
  • Use various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems
  • Work with Management, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on facility and equipment design requirements, capability and improvements
