We have an exciting opportunity for a Electronic Fabricator II to join the JETSII Contract! This is an Amentum CBA union position.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Knowledge of reading and understanding Electronic Engineering Fabrication Drawings
  • Knowledge of reading an understanding detailed Electronic Fabrication Procedures
  • Working knowledge of ESD, FOD and controlled stock handling practices and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of an Electromechanical Laboratory environment and its Safety Procedures.
  • Ability to solder through hole and SMT at the advanced level.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Performs highly skilled work at the advanced level.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and cope under pressure.
  • Ability to undertake work at client site.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Handling of NASA flight hardware.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes

Responsibilities

  • Perform work based on sketches, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Follow steps documented in procedures, task performance sheets, discrepancy report interim dispositions, procedures and WADs.
  • Obtain certifications for and remain proficient in the following: Surface Mount Soldering, Thru-Hole Soldering, Crimping, Interconnecting Cables, harnesses and Wiring, Conformal Coating and Staking, Electrostatic Discharge Control, Lithium Battery Handling, Foreign Object Debris Control
  • Perform printed circuit board assembly and repair which includes assembly cleanliness verification, demoisturization, masking/de-masking and conformal coating.
  • Perform Cable and harness fabrication, assembly, and repair.
  • Perform Electromechanical fabrication, assembly and repair.
  • Perform other electromechanical assembly operations such as but not limited to soldering, crimping, staking, swaging, torqueing, marking.
  • Perform Flight Hardware builds in a Flight Hardware production lab.
  • Modify and repair commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
  • Conduct parts and calibrated tools inventory and perform other laboratory duties as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area and adhere to laboratory policies.
  • Coach and mentor lesser skilled technicians.
  • Work after hours and/or weekends as required.
  • Perform related duties as required.
