Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules.
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytic skills and aptitude.
  • Must be detailed, analytical and accurate.
  • Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, proven ability to organize complex processes involving multiple, detailed tasks and multiple inputs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
  • Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the team.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently and accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience working at a TPA or in a related industry preferred.
  • Experience with ANSII 834 EDI transaction sets preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, analyzing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining specifications for set-ups and enhancements with 834 EDI application interfaces and HPI’s online enrollment portal.
  • Implementing scalable solutions to ensure HPI is ready for future growth.
  • Developing and maintaining programs and processes that manage inbound enrollment data.
  • Configuring various applications to facilitate consistent and optimal performance related to enrollment activities.
  • Serving as a liaison for internal & external technical staff as well as business areas to set up enrollment data transfer processes in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating 834 EDI testing and trading partner implementation initiatives.
  • Responding to inquiries regarding 834 EDI technical transfers and online enrollment activities.
  • Assessing older setups, offering suggestions/implementing automated improvements.
  • Assisting the Supervisor with analyzing, designing, and developing specifications for enhancements with 834 EDI application interfaces.
  • Investigating, testing, and providing feedback to management on any new processes and/or potential issues.
  • Troubleshooting existing applications.
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve job functions and identify automation opportunities within related departments.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation including all pertinent design documents and process flows.
