This position will be responsible for the programming and troubleshooting of the plant’s electrical systems. Overtime is required. Weekend work is required. This position will cover multiple shifts as needed. The person in this position will follow safe working procedures and food safety procedures. They will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on all production equipment, buildings, and grounds. They will use their knowledge and skill to produce and modify equipment to meet production needs, and perform work with a minimum amount of direct supervision to identify and solve problems. They will use communication skills to keep Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers, and fellow team members informed of their progress. They will also drive a forklift, use computers for job-related tasks, and perform physical tasks such as repetitive hand and wrist motion, lifting/pushing/pulling 50+ lbs, twisting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, grasping, and pinching. They will use expertise for diagnosis and troubleshooting, recommend, develop, and implement modifications and systems to improve equipment operations and reliability, and provide preventative and cost-efficient repairs. They will apply advanced electrical skills to design and specify equipment for new installations and improvements, maintain accurate records of electrical equipment, provide direction and training for less skilled maintenance personnel, and participate in cross-functional teams. They will ensure control systems are designed in accordance with the National Electric code. They will perform other tasks as assigned by management.
