Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Electronic Calibration Technician to join them. You will report to the Supervisor of Metrology and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY. As an Electronic Calibration Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and performance of both commercial test equipment and custom-built Moog test consoles. Your work ensures safety, consistency, and excellence across our operations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in electronic calibration, assembly, repair, or maintenance.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge using electronic equipment essential for test console calibration such as fluke calibrators, power supply, encoders, temperature baths and dead weight pressure calibrators.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to write clear technical documentation.
  • Background in calibration/metrology, especially electronic calibration involving circuitry and test system startup.
  • A self‑motivated learner who can manage multiple tasks, collaborate well, and take ownership with minimal supervision.
  • Able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and contribute technical insight to resolve issues affecting M&TE.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate, maintain, and repair electronic test equipment to manufacturer specs or internal standards.
  • Perform calibrations following established procedures and help build documentation (photos, notes) when procedures don’t yet exist.
  • Review the daily schedule or service requests to keep calibration work on track and delivered on time.
  • Troubleshoot issues by performing fault isolation and interpreting symptoms with a logical, methodical approach.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance calibration processes, maintenance practices, and equipment reliability.
  • Provide insight into the design of calibration and maintenance aids and assist in gathering data for capital expenditure proposals.
  • Support initial calibration activities for first‑of‑its‑kind Measurement & Test Equipment (M&TE).
  • Mentor junior technicians, sharing your technical knowledge and expertise to build team capability.
  • Disassemble, repair/replace components, and reassemble equipment to verify restored accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, offering feedback and recommending updates to calibration procedures.
  • Ensure all calibration records are complete, accurate, and compliant with internal requirements.
