About The Position

Alertus is seeking an Electronic Assembler with soldering experience to join their Operations team at their Baltimore office. This role is crucial for ensuring hardware is produced, validated, and shipped efficiently and cost-effectively to meet customer requirements. The position is office-based and requires daily reporting to the HQ in Baltimore.

Requirements

Proven experience with hand-soldering electronic components.
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Hands-on proficiency in operating general power tools, hand tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills across departments (Sales, Implementation, Production).
Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing/assembly environment.

Nice To Haves

IPC-A-610 soldering certification and/or IPC-WHMA-620 cable & wire assembly certification.
Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes and defect identification.
Knowledge of ESD/static dissipative protocols and controlled-torque tools.
Experience in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 quality environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and hand-solder all levels of electronic components as part of the electronics manufacturing Production team.
Read and interpret engineering blueprints for a wide variety of devices and components.
Rework, repair, and modify printed circuit boards and/or assemblies to required specifications.
Produce and ship all Alertus hardware.
Manage and maintain bench stock to ensure timely flow of the production queue.
Troubleshoot and repair broken equipment.
Use general power tools to produce Alertus equipment.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
