About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electronic systems and support structure with a soldering iron or other hand tools to install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings. Openings are currently available on first shift (7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F) at our PLY Building located at 925 US-169, Plymouth, MN 55441. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Ability to use a computer, hand tools, gauges, and testers
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day to perform hand solder with hot soldering iron, inspect boards under a microscope, make simple repairs, etc.
  • Uses microscope for precision work and to perform inspections.
  • Perform simple hand grasp and dexterity required to solder, encapsulate, correct defects, hold tools, etc.
  • Ability to move, carry, or lift objects or materials weighing up to 30 pounds frequently

Responsibilities

  • Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from matrix documentation and SOPs.
  • Place, wire, solder, and utilize hot soldering iron to connect and encapsulate PC boards and/or units.
  • Test, label, package, and deliver to stockroom.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Position, align, and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly.
  • Complete, review, and maintain production, time, and component waste reports.
  • Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities, and to resolve production problems.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Other duties as assigned
