About The Position

Electronic Assembler II at HammerHead: The Electronic Assembler II is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting electrical and electronic components and subassemblies used in equipment and products. This role requires the ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings, perform detailed assembly work, and troubleshoot basic electrical issues while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. The Electronic Assembler II works with minimal supervision and may assist in training less experienced assemblers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in electronic or electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable assembly.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to use hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have a good work record of attendance, self-motivation, judgment, and productivity.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certificate or vocational training in electronics or electrical assembly preferred.
  • IPC or other electronics assembly certifications preferred.
  • Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing/ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and electronic components, subassemblies, and finished products per work instructions, prints, and schematics.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly drawings.
  • Perform wiring, cable routing, crimping, soldering, and termination of electrical components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment (multimeters, continuity testers, etc.).
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and correct basic electrical and assembly issues.
  • Document work completed, including quality checks and production transactions, using computer systems as required.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Assist with training or mentoring Electronic Assembler I employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
