Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program
- At least one year of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Attach, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from the electroencephalograph machine.
- Review the patient's record and instruct patients before procedures. Monitor the patient during procedures and report any abnormal findings.
- Identify and correct for artifacts. Edit and forward results to the attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
- Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
