About The Position

Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist performs comprehensive Electroneurodiagnostic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of the Neurodiagnostics and Sleep Center Manager and/or the Medical Director or designee. An Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist can provide supervision of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician Trainee.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all the duties of the Electroneurodiagnostic Technician Trainee.
  • Performs at least two modalities of evoked potentials or TCD or MSLT with high quality results in both the laboratory and intensive care unit.
  • Capable of recording EEG or evoked potentials intraoperatively.
  • Performs special procedure EEGs or EPs such as neonatal recordings in the intensive care nursery, and electrocerebral inactivity recordings.
  • Performs long term video monitoring or ambulatory recordings.
  • Performs advanced neurodiagnostic procedures.
  • Evaluates during scanning process digital EEG or ambulatory EEG.
  • Participates in conferences and technical meetings.
  • Assists junior staff members.
  • Learns to perform advanced EEG/EP recordings during special studies or neurosurgical intraoperative cases.
  • Attends scientific courses and seminars on electroneurodiagnostic testing.
  • Performs other duties related to the laboratory as required.
  • Performs tasks related to system and data management.
  • Recommends to Neurosciences Program Manager, new market equipment, software or technologies.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
