About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring an Electron Microscope Technician for its client, Client Electronics Materials, located in Hillsboro, OR. This full-time position involves performing electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on weekends. The successful candidate will support R&D projects by executing SEM imaging and sample prep requests on time. The role requires the ability to work independently, with strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure maximum throughput in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on SEM experience is essential, with familiarity with FIB and basic microscope troubleshooting skills being preferred.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy, preferably in a QC/R&D environment.
  • Hands-on SEM experience (2+ years of experience).
  • Ability to hand-on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is required.
  • Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
  • Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with FIB is preferred.
  • Basic microscope troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.
  • Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on weekends.
  • Support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
  • Operate Focused Ion-Beam (FIB) (preferred).
  • Perform basic microscope troubleshooting.
