About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring an Electron Microscope Technician for CLIENT Electronics Materials in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position requiring 42.50 hours per week, with timings from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The role involves performing electron microscopy characterization, primarily during the 2nd shift, with occasional weekend work. The successful candidate will support R&D projects by executing SEM imaging and sample preparation requests, working independently in a fast-paced environment. Communication and collaboration skills are essential for maximizing throughput. Hands-on SEM experience is mandatory, with familiarity with FIB and basic microscope troubleshooting skills being preferred.

Requirements

• 2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy, preferably in a QC/R&D environment or trainable with less experience.
• Good problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Hands-on experience operating Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is required (2+ years of experience).
• Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate Focused Ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.
• Preferred BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
• Familiarity with FIB is preferred.
• Some basic microscope troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on weekends.
• Support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
• Work independently with minimum supervision.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure maximum throughput is achieved in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
• Troubleshoot basic microscope issues.
