About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring an Electron Microscope Technician for CLIENT Electronics Materials in Hillsboro, OR. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position requiring 42.50 hours per week, primarily during the 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), with occasional weekend commitments. The role involves performing electron microscopy characterization to support R&D projects, including SEM imaging and sample preparation. The technician will be expected to work independently, troubleshoot microscope issues, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy, preferably in a QC/R&D environment or trainable with less experience.
Good problem-solving / troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
2+ years of hands-on experience operating Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
Basic knowledge in semiconductor (preferred for BS degree holders).
Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate Focused Ion-Beam (FIB).
BS Degree in STEM.
Familiarity with FIB.

Responsibilities

Perform electron microscopy characterization during the 2nd shift and occasionally on weekends.
Support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
Work independently with minimum supervision.
Operate Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
Operate Focused Ion-Beam (FIB) (preferred).
Communicate and collaborate effectively to ensure maximum throughput.
Perform basic microscope troubleshooting.
