Electron Beam Strip Weld Operator - 2nd shift
About The Position
Vishay Dale Electronics – East Windsor, CT is currently seeking applicants for an Electron Beam Strip Weld Operator on 2nd Shift (Monday – Thursday, 4:00pm-2:30am). Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations. Performs the daily functions of an E-Beam weld machine to produce all WSL parts. Which include reading blueprints and work orders. Set up of the tooling and weld parameters according to the drawing. Performs pre-weld, in-line, and post weld quality inspection. Follows all Quality and EHS policies and procedures. Responsible for recording production output and scrap. Must maintain a clean workstation and adhere to 5S guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
Nice To Haves
- Weld Course certification preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Performs oxy/acetylene butt-welds
- Tooling and machine set-up
- Performs quality inspection of welded WSL parts
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation / 5S
- Understands all processes and specification within the department and reports to Supervisor any discrepancies in line specifications.
- Troubleshoot tooling and equipment when material is out of tolerance
- Load and unload material using hoist / moving finished material when rack is full using a pallet jack.
