About The Position

Terzo Enterprises is a logistics company focused on the repair, refurbishment, and re-manufacturing of pallets. This role involves setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining assigned equipment to ensure production and quality standards are met. The technician will work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and making minor program changes on VFDs. Responsibilities also include ensuring the safe operational status of forklifts, yard hostlers, and various warehouse equipment like conveyors, turn tables, and paint sprayers. A key aspect of the role is carrying out preventive maintenance programs and maintaining detailed work logs. The technician must also maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with OSHA and MSDS standards, including proper LOTO procedures and machinery guarding.

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Welding, machining, metal fabrication, and plumbing skills.
  • Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs. and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform any tasks at hand.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install equipment ranging from low DC voltage to 120v – 480v AC high voltage circuits, motor controls, and control logic.
  • Make minor program changes on VFDs and troubleshoot by power wiring.
  • Troubleshoot 3-phase motors and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot and ensure the safe operational status of all forklifts and yard hostlers.
  • Perform all repairs on belt conveyors, roller conveyors, turn tables, and paint sprayers (airless and diaphragm pumps).
  • Inspect/replace belts, hoses, and pipes as needed and other warehouse power equipment.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment.
  • Maintain a daily work log on repairs on all equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, overall cleanliness, and organization of the maintenance cage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
  • Understand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
  • Assist in the inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures.
  • Check for proper guarding of all machinery in departments daily.
  • Look for any visible wear or defects on machinery daily.
  • Check for proper oil level & proper lubrication of all machines.
  • Maintain all machinery and repair machinery promptly.
  • Ensure maintenance staff complies with OSHA and MSDS standards and safety policies, including LOTO procedures.
