Electromechanical Field Service Technician--Floater [FST - Charlotte, NC]
About The Position
Field Service Maintenance Technicians (Floater) are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and reactive service repair on paint and electromechanical equipment at big box retailers. This role involves servicing stores within a 3-hour radius of the service market, potentially requiring travel overnight for up to 2.5 weeks per month. The company, DOC Services Inc., has over 28 years of experience providing support and repair solutions for paint shakers, tinters, mobility carts, check-out stands, mobile storage systems, cutters, and other light industrial equipment, aiming to extend equipment life, reduce downtime, and minimize impact on the bottom line.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with electromechanical equipment
- Ability to read schematics
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures on equipment and then providing a solution
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
- Use hand and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair machines
- Respond to on-site preventative maintenance service calls within contract time frames
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisor, and coworkers
