Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for well qualified Electromechanical Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Hardware Engineering organization. This position is located in San Diego, CA. No Remote work is available for this position. As a member of the electromechanical team, you will get to: Effectively use and/or apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to assigned tasks commensurate with engineering level Create/review/update engineering drawings, test reports, and procedure documents for all system variants including circuit boards, cables, and mechanical features Generate/update/review parts lists and act as liaison with global supply chain counterparts Maintain configuration and compliance with applicable quality, security, and industry standards Collaborate with peers in adjacent functions, including electrical and RF design, systems engineering, software engineering, drafting, supply chain management, and manufacturing. Develop technical solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. Actively participate in team discussions by offering ideas and suggestions on how we can enhance the team and/or an individual’s ability to execute tasks, improve performance, and encourage innovation Make good judgment design decisions regarding individual tasks. i.e. minimizing rework and maximizing reuse of existing designs Make efficient use of time and resources by prioritizing tasks to meet commitments Professionally represent the organization while interacting with internal and external contacts. Communicate with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between disciplines
