Electromechanical Assembler- Battery Chargers
About The Position
HindlePower is hiring an Electromechanical Assembler for its ATevo Battery Chargers production team. The position involves hands-on production work assembling industrial battery chargers and DC power systems. Depending on the employee’s strengths and production needs, work may include preparing wire harnesses, soldering components to circuit boards, producing power magnetics, building subassemblies, wiring components together, and assembling enclosures. Training is provided, and employees can learn to work at multiple stations over time. The assembler works at a production station, standing for most of the shift and performing detailed work by hand. The role requires reading job travelers and electrical prints, building to specification, checking work for problems before it moves downstream, and sharing suggestions for improving production processes. HindlePower offers a certification program with defined levels and associated pay increases, and promotes from within when possible.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hands.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities
- Crimp, label, and bundle wire harnesses.
- Hand-solder components to PC boards.
- Wind, stack, and weld power magnetics.
- Build subassemblies from individual components.
- Wire components and subassemblies together.
- Use hand tools and fasteners to assemble enclosures and install subassemblies.
- Read job travelers and electrical prints and build to specification.
- Check work and catch problems before they move downstream.
- Learn to work at multiple production stations over time.
- Communicate suggestions for improving production processes.
