Requirements

Diploma of Vocational Studies in Industrial Mechanics or equivalent
Knowledge of advanced techniques of the trade (laser alignment, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, mechanical assembly plans, etc).
Knowledge of the various types of equipment to maintain: machining equipment, industrial pumps, gearboxes, electric motors and other industrial rotating equipment.
Be familiar with occupational health and safety standards, especially WHMIS.
Candidates must successfully pass the written and practical examinations provided to access the position.
They must be members of the Union.
Functional knowledge of French is required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of machining and operation of CNC equipment is an asset.
The candidates selected to fill the vacancies will be chosen on the basis of their seniority provided that they are willing, that they meet the requirements of the posting and that they are able to perform the work relating to the position satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

Perform the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, retrofitting or setups for all types of machines, tools and equipment.
Calibrate and adjust machines, adequately choose materials, control work methods and techniques as well as correct work parameters further to detection of problems.
Detect defective components and manufacture complex components.
