About The Position

The Boeing Electromagnetic Effects (E3) Group is hiring Electromagnetic Effects Design and Analysis Engineers at Experienced (Level 2), Career (Level 3), and Expert (Level 4) levels. The position is based in the Puget Sound region (Everett, Washington) and supports Boeing Defense, Space & Security commercial-derivative aircraft programs, including the U.S. KC-46A tanker. The engineer develops and validates Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) requirements and architectures for integrating complex components and subsystems into higher-level platforms. The role defines and conducts tests to validate designs against requirements and provides EMI/EMC expertise during design, modification, supplier engagement, and manufacturing activities. E3 environments include EMI, lightning, HIRF, precipitation static (P-static), nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP), and related environments. The position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; the U.S. Government requires U.S. citizenship for this clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance is required post-start. The position must also meet U.S. export-control requirements and therefore requires a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. This is a SPEEA union-represented position and is primarily first shift, with possible additional shift requirements to support program objectives. Relocation assistance is available based on candidate eligibility. The position is not contingent upon program award and is not safety-sensitive. Successful candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment process. Post-offer applicants and employees are subject to drug and alcohol testing when criteria are met under Boeing policies.
