About The Position

Turnover Labs is a Brooklyn-based, early-stage startup developing breakthrough electrochemical systems that help chemical manufacturers capture and reuse their emissions. Our technology converts industrial waste gases directly into valuable chemical products - reducing carbon impact while unlocking new sources of revenue for industrial facilities. We’re building practical, scalable hardware for a more sustainable industrial future and are looking for engineers who want to apply their skills to meaningful, technically challenging work in the real world.

Requirements

  • B.S. / M.S. / Ph.D. student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
  • Must attend (or have attended within the last 12 months) a college/university in New York State and/or be a New York State resident
  • Hands-on experience with electrochemical techniques
  • Detail oriented and able to maintain an organized laboratory notebook and data
  • Excited about climate technology
  • A learner’s mindset and collaborative

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with membrane electrode assemblies and/or CO₂ electrolysis systems
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques, including GC and ICP
  • Experience with programming languages, especially Python
  • Familiarity with characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM and XPS is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform durability testing on different membrane electrode assembly configurations in the presence of different impurities.
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook.
  • Analyze and present their data in technical meetings.
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture on our technical team.
