About The Position

The Heart Institute at the University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake campus has an outstanding opportunity for an Electrocardiograph (ECG) Lab Lab Supervisor. This is a 100% FTE, Full-time, 40-hours-per-week position on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday. The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services, including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services. Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Two years of experience as an ECG Technician 2
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Certified by the National Alliance of Cardiovascular Technologists
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as license, certification and/or registration

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of UWMC-Montlake ECG Lab
  • Provide technical oversight to ECG procedures including – 12 lead and 15 lead ECGs, Holter monitors, event monitors and stress tests performed within the University of Washington Medical Center’s Heart Institute clinics
  • Deliver direct patient care and perform duties of the ECG Technologist 2, serving patients at least 50% of the time
  • Oversee daily operations of ECG Lab department, including study processing and assignment workflows of ECG procedures performed within the University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake, affiliated clinics, and partner services
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team
  • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality services that align with organizational and regulatory standards
