About The Position

This position involves performing adult electrocardiograms competently, monitoring supplies, and maintaining equipment. The role also includes assisting with infection control standards, transporting patients, and managing risk. Additionally, the technician will maintain inter and intradepartmental relations, promote guest relations, and actively seek personal improvement. Training in echocardiographic examination of patients with adult cardiac diseases is also part of the role. The position requires good oral and written communication skills in English, adequate visual and hearing senses, and the ability to function calmly in a fast-paced, stressful environment. The technician must perform duties and conduct interpersonal relationships in a manner that projects a positive image of the department and hospital, working harmoniously with colleagues and ensuring all interactions are friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate. The role also involves answering telephones promptly and courteously, displaying concern and providing assistance or explanations as appropriate, and being dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers. The technician will work with patients to identify problem areas and recommend solutions. A background and drug test must be cleared.

Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills in the English language
  • Visual and hearing senses must be adequate to detect changes in human physiological condition
  • Able to function calmly in a fast paced, stressful environment
  • Experience in Electrocardiogram examinations of patients in any setting including acute care setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English
  • Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas)
  • Holds current BLS card
  • Certified in EKGs
  • Associate degree in cardiovascular field or related field of study
  • Must clear background and drug test

  • ACLS card preferred
  • Additional languages desirable
