Electro-Mechanical Technician - 2nd Shift

About The Position

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will apply knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and troubleshooting skills in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to normal operation in order to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Team is responsible for maintaining the plant equipment we use every day here at our facility in order to make, fill, and pack all of our nutritious foods. The team works closely with various internal teams including Supply Chain, Production and Engineering to make sure our equipment is running as efficiently as possible so we can continue doing what we do best – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in one of the following: industrial electrical, mechanical, repair, welding, millwright, plumbing/pipefitting machining or sheet metal fabrication
  • Basic technical knowledge of electrical/electronic and 3 phase motors and understanding of fluid power systems

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification with a concentration in sanitary welding highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot and repair systems to maintain process efficiency
  • Understand and analyze technical specifications of electro-mechanical systems
  • Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance to detect and prevent problems
  • Develop troubleshooting skills to systematically identify and prevent problems and failures
  • Coordinate efforts with other technicians involved in installing/maintaining equipment or components, to ensure that systems function properly
  • Communicate with machine operators, understand and have a working knowledge of equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions and verify system problems
  • Observe and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation of the system.
  • Support general housekeeping and sanitation within the work area and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
