Leidos Defense is seeking talented Electro-Mechanical Technician for the Product Integration Section to lead a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, we provide responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. We are seeking an experienced individual to work closely with a team of engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements. Selected candidate will bring a diverse set of skills and an aptitude for solving complex problems. You will interpret drawings and use critical thinking to not only build and fabricate production and prototype hardware, as well as test and deploy the hardware.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of applicable experience.
  • Interest in fabrication of hardware.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic and responsibility.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Working well on a team with diverse skillsets.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reading schematic drawings and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience building electrical and/or mechanical systems.
  • Have IPC-WHMA-A-620 training or prove the ability to perform cable fabrication work.
  • Must be a resident of North Alabama area or willing to relocate to Huntsville-North Alabama area.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and use critical thinking to build and fabricate production and prototype hardware.
  • Test and deploy hardware.
  • Work closely with a team of engineers and customers to design and build hardware to meet unique technical requirements.
  • Take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful.
