About The Position

KCC Companies is an employee-owned (ESOP) company that provides design, manufacturing, installation, and service for commercial and residential HVAC. The Electro-Mechanical Technician assembles HVAC units and subassemblies using engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and related documents. The role may include installing and wiring components such as dampers, actuators, fans, breakers, and transformers, and completing unit paperwork and quality-control checklists. This is a full-time position working eight hours per day on the third shift, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with possible overtime. Work takes place in a manufacturing environment where loud noises and hot or cold temperatures are possible.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to use an assortment of hand and power tools.
Maintain a strong attendance record.

Responsibilities

Use engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and other relevant documents to assemble HVAC units and subassemblies.
Use an assortment of hand and power tools.
Keep equipment and the work area clean and orderly.
Complete unit paperwork and quality-control checklists.
Report defective equipment to the supervisor.
Install and wire, when applicable, dampers, actuators, supply fans, power exhaust fans, condenser fans, breakers, transformers, and related components.
Learn and follow applicable health and safety legislation and plant safety rules.
Participate in toolbox talks and monthly training.
Take reasonable precautions to protect coworkers.
Address unsafe acts or conditions promptly and report issues to management.
Assist with accident investigations as needed to identify root causes.
Complete accident, incident, and near-miss reports in a timely manner.
