About The Position

Pronto is seeking a skilled and hands-on Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our growing dietary supplement manufacturing team in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. You will support encapsulation, blending, and packaging equipment while working closely with Production and Quality teams to minimize downtime and maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA, and company standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, electro-mechanical repair, or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in dietary supplements, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with encapsulation, blending, or packaging equipment used in dietary supplement manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and FDA regulations.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), or industrial automation systems.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical components, including motors, sensors, relays, switches, wiring, and control systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on encapsulation, blending, and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Calibrate precision scales, ingredient-dosing systems, and other production equipment to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and documentation in accordance with cGMP, FDA regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to support daily manufacturing goals.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, facility improvement projects, and other duties as assigned.
