About The Position

Alliance Laundry Systems is a stable and successful manufacturing operation seeking a 2nd Shift Electro Mechanical Technician. This role involves designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The technician will install electrical and electronic controls, perform basic mechanical repairs, and work from schematics, blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions. The position requires knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems and may involve directing the work of others in lower classifications. Responsibilities include dismantling electrical machinery, replacing defective parts, monitoring installed equipment, and performing a variety of tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • Two-year Associate degree and 2-4 years work experience required.
  • Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.
  • Standing for long periods, sitting, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
  • Passing a pre-employment physical including a baseline test of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Knowledge of electrical power, and water distribution systems.

  • May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design minor electrical circuits.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
  • Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
  • Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions.
  • Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
  • Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
  • Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader.
