About The Position

An Electromechanical Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance of all machinery in the facility. This role is responsible for performing daily maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance functions. The technician will troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities also include repairing circuit boards to component level, pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes, and PLCs, as well as disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling production machinery. The role requires adherence to all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs, including wearing required personal protective equipment and reviewing SDSs for chemicals prior to use. Reporting all injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents to the Shift Supervisor is also a key responsibility. The technician will also comply with all 5S and CI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to use various hand tools, multi-meters, computers and oscilloscopes.
  • Detail oriented, well organized and able to function in a team environment under deadlines.
  • Capable of PLC programming using Allen Bradley.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical or related field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal training and/or education in electrical/electrical systems (including PLC's) preferred.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance of plant production machinery and support systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following all plant and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs.
  • Wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements.
  • Review all SDS’s for chemicals prior to initial use.
  • Responsible for reporting all injuries, near misses and property damage incidents to the Shift Supervisor prior to the end of the shift on the day of the incident.
  • Provides daily maintenance for the plant, performs mechanical, electrical, and preventive (PM) maintenance functions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Repair circuit boards to component level.
  • Repair pumps, blowers, drives, heaters, dies, gearboxes and PLC’s.
  • Disassemble, clean and reassemble production machinery.
  • Comply with all 5S and CI initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work).
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Benefits

  • Starting pay is $34.80/hour and after 6 months earn $40.78/hour
  • Double Time on Sunday's and Holidays
  • $0.90 shift differential when working nights
