About The Position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician supports all manufacturing areas at Kraft Heinz’s Dover, Delaware plant by repairing, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on packaging-related equipment and systems. The role includes responding to equipment breakdowns, monitoring machine performance, maintaining adequate spare-parts levels, and collaborating with packaging maintenance supervisors to improve productivity. The position operates in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Listed shifts are 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.; employees must also be available for any assigned shift, including 8-hour and 12-hour schedules, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Proven previous experience in industrial maintenance or mechanics.
Thorough knowledge of maintenance principles and practices.
Technical skills to resolve mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
Ability to read and perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Basic digital literacy and computer skills.
Strong interpersonal effectiveness across multiple teams and job levels, with excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot major packaging equipment problems quickly and accurately.
Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
Work with packaging maintenance supervisors to develop and implement improvements that drive productivity.
Maintain adequate spare-parts stocking levels to support packaging equipment.
Review machine performance, identify problems and concerns, and recommend or implement technological changes to improve performance.
Respond proficiently and positively to machinery breakdowns and equipment problems.
