About The Position

As a key member of the Engineering team, the Electro-Mechanical Technician will work in a clean room environment, providing technical support, calibration, installation, repair and preventive maintenance for medical devices. This role involves supporting various manufacturing equipment such as pneumatics, laser drills, label and inkjet printers, conveyors, corona surface treaters, induction tippers, balloon formers, and vacuum formers. The technician will also be responsible for executing and documenting calibration procedures, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and completing preventive maintenance on schedule. Additionally, the position requires assisting Engineering with fixture qualifications for new and existing equipment, including data collection and supporting design modifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Previous experience working with biomedical equipment
  • Strong demonstrated "hands-on" ability to maintain mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures and language barriers in a minimal English speaking environment

Nice To Haves

  • Troubleshooting of complex systems
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Applied Sciences, or related field
  • Ability to interpret technical data like electronic circuit diagrams, schematics, and blueprints

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for equipment such as pneumatics, laser drills, label and inkjet printers, conveyors, corona surface treaters, induction tippers, balloon formers, vacuum formers, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Execute procedures for calibration, document their completion, and consistently complete all calibration verifications on schedule provided.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, document their completion, and consistently complete all preventive maintenance on schedule provided.
  • Assist Engineering in fixture qualifications for new/existing equipment as required, including collection of data, and supporting design of new equipment or equipment modifications.
