About The Position
Foam & Wash is seeking a seasoned Electro-Mechanical Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our maintenance team. This position plays a direct role in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of equipment across 12+ car wash locations and a Shell Mart convenience store throughout Dutchess and Orange Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and contributing to the reliability and performance of essential operating equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of electro-mechanical experience
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and technical understanding
- Industrial and/or mechanical maintenance background preferred
- Experience with Control wiring
- Experience with Electrical troubleshooting
- Experience with PLC programming
- Experience with VFDs
- Experience with CCTV systems
- Plumbing and additional trade skills such as welding are a plus
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is helpful
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively with management, peers, and site personnel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Plumbing and additional trade skills such as welding are a plus
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is helpful
Responsibilities
- Perform new equipment installations and equipment relocations
- Perform repairs and maintenance on all related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pump/water, and mechanical systems
- Support equipment uptime through machine modifications, layout improvements, and general maintenance initiatives
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement operational improvements and increase equipment reliability
- Travel between locations as needed based on scheduled and emergency priorities
